Getting started with trace
To collect trace data, no specific build settings are required.
Start C-SPY and choose I-jet>Trace Settings. In the Trace Settings dialog box that is displayed, check if you need to change any of the default settings and set the Mode option to the type of trace you want to collect. If you made any changes, exit C-SPY and restart the debug session.
For more information about the Trace Settings dialog box, see Trace Settings dialog box.
Note
If you are using the C-SPY simulator you can ignore this step.
Open the Trace window—available from the driver-specific menu—and click
the Activate button to enable collecting trace data.Start the execution. When the execution stops, for example because a breakpoint is triggered, trace data is displayed in the Trace window. For more information about the window, see Trace window.
